Port Stephens Locals Campaign

A new nature focused brand positioning and identity system for one of Australia’s favourite coastal destinations.

Whilst travelling around Port Stephens in 2019 shooting a new destination campaign video, I realised that beyond the tourism experiences we were capturing, there seemed to be another fascinating layer becoming evident that I felt really added to the character and uniqueness of the place itself and deserved to be shared. The more I engaged with the local residents and business owners, the more unique stories began to emerge of their lives and their personal connection to the natural environment. On completion of the video shoot, I made contact with some of the locals I had spoken to the week before, and thankfully they kindly agreed to share their stories on camera. So I pulled together another production team and some interview questions, and we hit the road to capture their stories. Below is the resulting video we captured of these wonderful local residents sharing some insights into their lives, and their connection to the place they all proudly call home.
